High Five: New T5 covRguard® Lamps Ideal High-Bay HID Replacements

CLEVELAND, Ohio — (NYSE: GE) — Five new T5 covRguard® high-output, Starcoat® Ecolux® fluorescent lamps from GE are ideally suited for use in indirect and up-lighting applications and as part of an HID system replacement in settings, such as food processing plants, food warehouses and distribution centers, grocery stores and restaurants. The all-ECO line simplifies recycling and disposal for end-users.
Each of the five 54-watt lamps – F54T5/830/HO/ECO/CVG, F54T5/835/HO/ECO/CVG, F54T5/841/HO/ECO/CVG, F54T5/850/HO/ECO/CVG and F54T5/865/HO/ECO/CVG – features initial lumens of 4850, mean lumens of 4560, an industry-leading color-rendering index of 85 and a 20,000-hour rated life. Color temperatures available include 3000K, 3500K, 4100K, 5000K and 6500K, respectively.

Designed to operate under extreme conditions and withstand temperatures up to 400-degrees F, T5 covRguard high-output, Starcoat Ecolux fluorescent lamps offer outstanding shatter resistance with a 10-mil thick shield that helps to contain glass fragments and phosphors if a lamp is broken. In addition to meeting all FDA, USDA and OSHA guidelines, these new GE covRguard lamps are NSF-certified for use in food-service areas.
