Growing Family: GE Delivers Precious Flexibility with New SHOWBIZ® CSR1500 Double-Ended Lamp

CLEVELAND, Ohio — (NYSE: GE)  GE Appliances & Lighting has added a new SHOWBIZ® CSR short, double-ended metal halide lamp to its growing family of lamps for moving-lights applications. The entire line of short, double-ended lamps from GE feature the same overall length, light-center length, base, shape, and a choice of color temperatures to offer greater flexibility for manufacturers and other professionals concerned with focal points, development of innovative fixture designs or the design of event lighting.

With the addition of the CSR1500/S/DE/60, the SHOWBIZ moving-lights line-up now includes the previously introduced SHOWBIZ CSR400/S/DE/75, SHOWBIZ CSR700/S/DE/60 SHOWBIZ CSR1200/S/DE/60, SHOWBIZ CSR400/S/DE/90, SHOWBIZ CSR700/S/DE/75 and SHOWBIZ CSR/1200/S/DE/72. Each of the robustly designed lamps features chromised seals that withstand temperatures as high as 500 degrees Celsius. Arc gaps ranging from 3 mm to 7 mm enable optimal performance, better optical control, greater color stability and superior lumen maintenance.

The 1500-watt lamp is available with 6000 Kelvin and an 85-plus color-rendering index (CRI).

Precise chemical dosing in all SHOWBIZ CSR lamps produces stable lamp color temperatures over the life of the products, and ensures consistent performance in all types of fixtures.

Developed through the GE Six Sigma process, these SHOWBIZ CSR lamps further expand GE's full range of high-performance stage and studio lamps. Like every SHOWBIZ product, SHOWBIZ CSR lamps incorporate the latest lighting technologies.
