All-New GE Monogram® Dishwashers Combine Intelligent Monitoring with Innovative Precision Wash System for a More Powerful Clean

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — (NYSE: GE) — GE Monogram® dishwashers have always made light work of the most challenging cleaning tasks. Now, a revolutionary new wash system with multi-angle jet sprays paired with a high-heat steam option scrubs away hard-to-remove foods, virtually eliminating the need for pre-rinsing. And two of the latest models use an exclusive bulk-dispense system that holds an entire 47-oz. bottle of detergent, automatically releasing just the right amount for each load based on water hardness and soil level.
With 50 percent more jets than prior Monogram models, the new line features water spraying on dishes from multiple angles, while turbidity sensors monitor soil levels and enable necessary wash-cycle adjustments for sparkling results. A large-blade food disposer and a new four-stage filtration system ensure food particles are washed away.
A sanitizing NSF-certified antibacterial cycle eliminates 99.99 percent of bacteria found on dishes with a hot-water rinse, while an exclusive scour-wash option engages separate detergent releases to scrub away stubborn foods. And, each dishwasher exceeds 2009 ENERGY STAR® guidelines.
Simply elegant exteriors match brilliant and flexible interior
The fully integrated dishwashers – all with convenient, top-mount, one-touch digital controls – are available in three distinct styles. Integrated, stainless steel models make a timeless impression with a sleek door design and slim tubular handle. Custom models accept a full-length, cabinet-compatible panel. Or, a stainless steel Professional panel kit is also available for custom models.
On select models, high-intensity xenon lighting illuminates nylon-coated racks in a pearlescent-gray finish, which pair perfectly with stainless steel tubs that retain an attractive shine, cycle after cycle. The flexible loading capacity of the adjustable upper rack and fold-down tines on the lower rack makes space for up to 16 place settings, and accommodates platters, pots and utensils of all sizes.
To ensure dishwashers should be seen and not heard, every 24” Monogram dishwasher is 48 dBA-rated. That’s the result of exceptional engineering that uses advanced sound-absorbing material and a smooth-running motor.

Models with bulk dispense (ZBD8920, ZVD8900) will be available February 2009 at a suggested price range of $1,749–$2,049. All other models, priced from $1,449–$1,899, are available now.*
